Bless her heart, I'm glad every dumb thing that I say is not uploaded for millions of people to laugh at. Remember, we are not laughing at her, but with her. Enjoy! This is the stuff that video announcements are made of and you may just see it again this weekend!

I recently went into the movie store that is closing in our community and had some thoughts about it. The store has been open the last few years but they never did a very good job with customer service. The people that they had working were not trained properly and the business itself was second rate. Fast forward a few years and now new competition (Block Buster) moves into the area. When this happened they instantly lost probably a third of their customers. They were no longer the only shop in town. All of the sudden they decide to begin doing what they should have been doing in the first place. Instantaneously, their workers actually said hello and were helpful. They changed their pricing structure. They were making all of the right changes. All of their changes though were to little, to late. This is an important lesson to each person, business, small business and church. If you settle for average, eventually there will be someone else who doesn't and they'll take your business, job, or customer everytime. As believers, our motivation should go beyond mere excellence. Colossians 3:17 says, "And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him." We should go the extra mile not just to be great, but because God is great. With that said, what opportunities do you need to stop missing today?

---The owner of a car dealership has been accused of killing two employees because they kept asking for pay raises. Rolandas Milinavicius has been charged with two counts of murder in the shooting deaths of Inga Contreras, 25, and Martynas Simokaitis, 28. All three are from the eastern European nation of Lithuania but had been living in Atlanta, authorities said. Milinavicius, who was having financial problems, told police he shot the two Thursday after they kept asking for more pay, said police in East Point, which is just outside Atlanta. "He told us that he was under a lot of stress," East Point police Capt. Russell Popham said. "Unfortunately, he decided to take his anger out with violence."---
Your boss may be under a lot of stress so my advice for next week would be, "Be supportive and be careful next time you ask for that raise!" Crazy world! Have a great weekend and there are still no winners for the fall series giveaway (see previous posts) so keep'em coming and offer as many as ideas as you'd like.
