I'm sitting here as we just finished our staff meeting and we were talking about a variety of issues in relation to the future of our church. I was looking over our attendance, visitors and others that I haven't seen in awhile. (We are going to do a new directory next month because I don't know a third of our church.) Anyway, I was just thinking about the fact that I speak to a group of a few hundred people and stare at them for 35-40 minutes every week. When I'm done looking at everyone and then go over attendance 48 hours later, I have such a hard time remembering who was there. I forget really fast and I actually try to remember. It reminds me of reading the Bible. I read it each day and it has been a part of my life for a long time but I still forget. More on this topic this weekend. It's so important to go back and look into God's word each day because I know that I have a tendency to forget. How about you? Just a thought.
