Week 2- Simple Life (God’s answer to busyness)
“28 Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you (learn from me), because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” Matthew 11:28-30 (MSG)
Take these steps
REALIZE MY WORTH
“He chose to give birth to us by giving us his true word. And we, out of all creation, became his prized possession.” James 1:18 (NLT)
ENJOY WHAT I ALREADY HAVE
“...every man should eat and drink and enjoy the good of all his labor—it is the gift of God.” Eccl. 3:13 (NKJ)
LIMIT MY WORK
“Only someone too stupid to find his way home would wear himself out with work!” Eccl. 10:15
The Bible calls it the Sabbath. Sabbath means a day of rest.
What do you do on the Sabbath? - It may look a little different for everyone!!!
1. Rest my body.
2. Recharge your emotions.
3. Refocus your spirit.

2 Questions to consistently ask yourself as you evaluate your values
How would I live my life in I only had one month to live? (this an issue of priority)
What is the wisest thing to do? (in light of my past experience, my current circumstance and my future hopes and dreams)
eEXCHANGE MY PRESSURE FOR GOD’S REST
God’s antidote and answer to busyness (stress)
1. COME TO ME—the invitation to rest
2. TAKE MY YOKE—the connection to rest
3. LEARN FROM ME—the continuation of rest
1 John 5:12
He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.
