LIFE LESSONS FROM THE CRAZY PILL PROPHET JONAH
4 Truths That You Need To Know When You've Messed Up!

1. You Can RUN But You Can’t HIDE.
“The Lord gave this message to Jonah son of Amittai: 2 “Get up and go to the great city of Nineveh. Announce my judgment against it because I have seen how wicked its people are.” 3 But Jonah got up and went in the opposite direction to get away from the Lord. 17 Now the Lord had arranged for a great fish to swallow Jonah. And Jonah was inside the fish for three days and three nights.” Jonah 1:1-3, 17 (NLT)
“I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence! 8 If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I go down to the grave,[a] you are there. 9 If I ride the wings of the morning, if I dwell by the farthest oceans, 10 even there your hand will guide me, and your strength will support me.” Psalm 139:7-10

2. When things don’t look good, always LOOK to God.
“Then Jonah prayed to the Lord his God from inside the fish. 2 He said, ‘I cried out to the Lord in my great trouble, and he answered me...’10 Then the Lord ordered the fish to spit Jonah out onto the beach.” Jonah 2:1-2, 10 (see also Jeremiah 33:3)
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13 (NIV)

3. God Wants To Give EVERY PERSON A Second Chance!
“When God saw what they had done and how they had put a stop to their evil ways, he changed his mind and did not carry out the destruction he had threatened.” Jonah 3:10
YOU- “The Lord's love never ends; his mercies never stop. 23 They are new every morning...”. Lamentations 3:22-23
OTHERS- “Then Peter came to him and asked, “Lord, how often should I forgive someone who sins against me? Seven times?” 22 “No, not seven times,” Jesus replied, “but seventy times seven!” Matthew 18:21-22
“The Lord (God)... does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.” 2 Peter 3:9 (NLT)

4. God LOVES You.
I (Jonah) knew that you are a merciful and compassionate God, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. You are eager to turn back from destroying people.” Jonah 4:2 (NLT)
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 (NIV)

Lessons from a Hoarder (Luke 12:13-21)
13Someone out of the crowd said, "Teacher, order my brother to give me a fair share of the family inheritance." 14He replied, "Mister, what makes you think it's any of my business to be a judge or mediator for you?" 15Speaking to the people, he went on, "Take care!
