4 Declarations To Jumpstart Your Week

God is given many different names in the Bible.  For example, he is called our Redeemer, a Rebuilder, a strong tower, our healer, a shield and many more.  One I think that often gets overlooked is God as Restorer.  From Genesis to Revelation, God is all about restoration.  Restoration means the following:

Restoration-  re·stored, re·stor·ing, re·stores
1. To bring back into existence or use; reestablish: restore law and order.
2. To bring back to an original condition: restore a building.
3. To put (someone) back in a former position
4. To make restitution of; give back: restore the stolen funds.

Key Question-  Do you believe that God desires to restore every area of your life?

What you believe about God will always determine what you believe Him for.  If you believe that He is a restorer, you will believe that he can restore your life.  Faith is the key to receiving anything from God.  Hebrews 11:1 reminds us,"Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see." (see also Romans 4:18, Psalm 119:81)
Why not determine right now to have a “restoration” mentality.  Now is the time to release your faith.  Here are 4 thoughts that you can declare over your life today!

#1  God Is Restoring My Soul

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.  He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.  He restores my soul...”.  Psalm 23:1-3

Encourage yourself. Don’t settle in the valley of darkness. That is not your destination. Keep moving forward.  The Bible reminds us to speak to our soul and to make a declaration of hope! (Ps. 42:5-6, 11; 43:5).  Regardless of how you feel, why not go ahead say, "God is restoring my soul!"

#2  God Is Restoring My Wasted Years

“Then I will make up to you for the years that the... locust have eaten...”.  Joel 2:25 (NLT)  God is able to restore even wasted years.  Though you may feel down, with God, you're never out! Proverbs 24:16 reminds us that, “The godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again...”. (NLT)  God can make the latter greater than the former.  Instead of focusing on what you have been through, begin to focus on what God is bringing to you.

#3  God Is Restoring Double For My Trouble

“Return to the stronghold, you prisoners of hope. Even today I declare that I will restore double to you.”  Zechariah 9:12  I am sure that you have heard the expression, “When life throws lemons at you, make lemonade!” Today, rest in the understanding that when the devil throws lemons at you, God Himself will make lemonade!  The Bible says that God works all things together for your good. (Romans 8:28) Believe that God can restore double to you, so that you end up having more than before, if not in quantity, then in quality! Remember Job in the Old Testament. When he lost everything, his wife told him to simply curse God and die. Instead, he responded to God in faith, and “the Lord gave to Job twice as much as he had before." (Job 42:10)

#4  God Is Restoring My Dreams.

When the Lord brought back his exiles to Jerusalem, it was like a dream! 2 We were filled with laughter, and we sang for joy.  And the other nations said,  “What amazing things the Lord has done for them.” 3 Yes, the Lord has done amazing things for us!  What joy! 4 Restore our fortunes, Lord, as streams renew the desert. 5 Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy. 6 They weep as they go to plant their seed, but they sing as they return with the harvest.”   Psalm 126:1-6

This powerful Psalm is a reminder that God is a restorer of dreams.  You may find yourself in a season of tears, but today is a new day.  Choose to begin again and prepare for a harvest of joy!

Declare today that God is restoring your soul, your wasted years, your dreams and that He is giving back to you double for everything that the enemy stolen from you!  GOD IS A RESTORER!

"Genesis Week" -an excerpt from my upcoming mini-book!

Here's an excerpt from one of the "Small Book, Big Difference" mini-books that I'm currently writing. It's called, "Genesis Week- Creating A Life Worth Living One Day At A Time" and will be out this summer or eventually.  ____________________________________________________________   “... God, make a fresh start in me, shape a Genesis week from the chaos of my life...”.   Psalm 51:7-15 (MSG) On July 4, 2012, hundreds of thousands of people eagerly gathered in San Diego, California, to enjoy an 18-minute fireworks show that was advertised as one of the "biggest in the nation."   People waited for hours for what was sure to be the best ever Big Bay Boom. Hundreds of thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours had been spent on planning and preparing for this epic event.  A few minutes before the anticipated 9 p.m. start time, the show began, unexpectedly. In one loud blast, all of the fireworks ignited simultaneously. Th
